Historians, archivists, practitioners and curatos are expected to approach medical photography with sensitivity. But what does that mean? What makes historical medical photographs “sensitive” material? Is it the content of the image, the context in which the photographs were taken and used, or the ways in which we present them today? In this seminar, Dr Katherine RawlingKate Jarman and Dr Savannah Dodd will share short provocations on the theme of sensitivity.

The aim of the seminar will be to encourage discussion, so we will have plenty of time for questions.
